Legislation:Assembly Bill 104: Adult Education Block Grant

The California Legislature has passed AB 104 which includes the legislation for the Adult Education Block Grant. The Adult Education Block Grant will fund adult education providers and the adult education regional consortia. Please refer to Sec. 39, Article 9, Section 84900

The California Community College Chancellor’s Office and the California Department of Education are working in partnership to implement the Adult Education Block Grant (AEBG). The AEBG appropriates funds through regional consortia consisting of community college districts, school districts and county offices of education to impleVent regional plans to better serve the needs of adults. The Siskiyou Adult Education Consortium

The Siskiyou Adult Education Consortium is the governing body for the AEBG serving Siskiyou County including Tulelake High School District. These include high school districts and county offices of education that provide adult education (full details in the Governance Section). College of the Siskiyous is the fiscal agent for the AEBG project in this region.

The project is actively supported by economic development, employment services and other partners in Siskiyou County.
